The beginning
Walking into a pharmacy and finding nothing designed specifically for men nothing that treated men's skin as a distinct biological reality rather than an afterthought was the moment merculine started.

The problem we set out to solve
Men's skin is different.
The market ignored it.
Men's skin is not the same as women's skin. It is oilier, sebaceous glands produce up to twice the sebum. It is thicker, about 25% more collagen density on average. It takes a daily hit from shaving that no women's skincare brand has ever had to consider. And it ages differently men retain more collagen longer but when the decline starts, it accelerates faster.
None of this was being addressed properly. The market was either heavily feminine skincare with "for men" added to the label, or aggressively masculine branding with formulas that did not actually work. The gap between the two genuinely effective, science-backed, vegan skincare built around men's actual biology was wide open.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Regulates sebum production, minimises pore appearance, reduces post-shave redness. The most versatile active in men's skincare.
Zinc PCA
Reduces sebum at a cellular level and targets the bacteria that cause breakouts before they start.
Peptides
Signal the skin to produce collagen and elastin the structural proteins responsible for firmness and resilience.
Lactic Acid (AHA 10%)
Dissolves dead skin cells and accelerates cell renewal overnight. The most skin-compatible AHA available.
Vitamin C (2%)
