COSMOS
Icelandic volcanic sand against dead skin cells. It isn't a fair fight.
Your skin replaces itself roughly every 28 days, but the old layer doesn't leave on its own. It stays bonded to the surface, trapping oil beneath it, blocking pores, and scattering light so that skin looks dull regardless of what you apply on top. Cleansing alone doesn't shift it.
Most scrubs solve this badly. Plastic microbeads and crushed nut shells have jagged edges that tear the skin surface, causing the micro-damage and inflammation that make congestion worse. Icelandic volcanic sand is finely milled and suspended in a creamy base, so it polishes without scoring. Kaolin Clay works alongside it, drawing oil and impurities out of the pores while the sand resurfaces what sits on top.
There's a second mechanism most physical scrubs don't have. Naturally derived Lactic and Citric Acid dissolve the bonds holding dead cells in place, so the exfoliation continues chemically after the scrubbing stops. A Nordic berry complex blueberry, strawberry, cloudberry, and raspberry delivers antioxidant protection to the fresh skin underneath. Face and body. Twice a week. Two minutes.

How to Use
Twice Weekly — Face & Body
Apply to dry or damp skin damp skin gives a gentler pass, dry skin a more aggressive one.
Massage in small circular motions for 30–60 seconds. Let the sand do the work — pressure isn't what exfoliates.
On the body, focus on shoulders, back, upper arms, and anywhere prone to ingrown hairs.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.
Follow with your serum and Deep Hydration Cream on the face, or Repair Body Moisturiser on the body. Freshly resurfaced skin absorbs actives significantly better.
Important: This formula exfoliates physically and chemically. Don't use it on the same day as the AHA Peeling Concentrate or the Purifying Clay Mask, and don't use it on skin you've just shaved. Stacking exfoliants is the fastest route to a compromised barrier which produces exactly the dullness and congestion you're trying to clear.
Key Ingredients
Icelandic Volcanic Sand
Finely milled mineral grit suspended in a cream base. Resurfaces without the jagged edges of plastic beads or nut shells, so it polishes the surface instead of tearing it.
Kaolin Clay
The gentlest clay. Draws oil and impurities out of the pores while the sand works on the surface congestion addressed from two directions in one pass.
Lactic + Citric Acid
Naturally derived AHAs that dissolve the bonds holding dead cells to the surface. The exfoliation continues chemically after the scrubbing stops.
Nordic Berry Complex
Blueberry, strawberry, cloudberry, and raspberry extracts. Antioxidant protection for the fresh skin exposed by exfoliation, when it's at its most vulnerable.

Questions
How is this different from the AHA Peeling Concentrate?
This scrub lifts the dead layer off physically, with a mild acid assist, and rinses away in two minutes. The AHA Peeling Concentrate is a leave-on overnight treatment at 10% Lactic Acid considerably stronger, and it works deeper. Use the scrub for surface texture and body skin. Use the AHA for congestion, dark spots, and resurfacing. Never both on the same day.
Is it really gentle enough for my face?
Yes, at twice weekly. The volcanic sand is milled fine and suspended in a creamy base rather than a gritty gel, so it glides rather than drags. Apply to damp skin and use no pressure for a gentler pass. If your skin is currently irritated or broken out, wait until it settles.
Will it help with ingrown hairs?
Yes. Ingrown hairs happen when dead skin blocks the follicle and the hair grows sideways instead of out. Regular exfoliation on the neck, jaw, and anywhere else you shave clears that blockage before it forms. Use it the day before you shave, not the day of.
Can I use it more than twice a week?
Don't. Your skin needs the days between treatments to complete the renewal cycle. Over-exfoliation strips the barrier faster than it rebuilds, which triggers oil overproduction, sensitivity, and the dull congested look you were trying to fix. Twice weekly is the effective dose.
